Today's multiple paths of purchases like digitally or on the go require adequate and strict regulatory requirements in the complex supply chain process. The consumer need is to turn the complex supply chain into the seamless, flexible, and transparent sopping experience of food.
Fresh and safe foods are a basic need of developed and developing (low and middle-income) countries for human health and well-being. The poverty ratio in low and middle-income countries (LMIC) is very high, fresh and safe foods are out of reach of poor people whereas food is essential for life. This situation is evidence of foodborne disease (FBD) resulting from perishable foods sold in informal markets of LMICs.
The question is what and how much have to do that fresh and safe food should be available at doorsteps with equal distribution so that no one should go to bed hungry. So the need is to develop a strong food system and nutrition equity in the country as per the global nutrition report. The achievement of these goals depends upon the following internal and external factors.
